The Cosmetology Operator's program covers all areas of client relations, cutting, finishing, perming and coloring techniques, manicuring and facials. You will acquire a knowledge of the science of skin and hair which will lead on to the basics of hair cutting and finishing. Theory and practical sessions in product echnology, career development, goal setting and customer service have all been developed from a proven training program.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The objective of this program is to prepare you to take the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology Operator's license. You will also become familiar with services provided to a client in a salon.

You will also achieve competency levels in the following TONI&GUY methodology modules including: Haircutting, Hair Design, Chemical Services, Cosmetician, Nails, Customer Services, Test-out and Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology procedures.

TONI&GUY Cosmetology courses are designed to introduce and guide beginner students in the areas of modern haircutting, coloring and fashion-forward hairdressing. The instructors and staff of the academies are committed to an exceptional level of excellence and service.

Techniques and skills are instructed and taught to challenge students to meet and surpass the state-required level of cosmetology. For example, TONI&GUY students learn from the latest collection of cuts during their freshman term. Many of these are from inspired new collections developed by TONI&GUY art teams traveling the world in a constant exchange of ideas, picking up international influences along the way.

Throughout their sophomore term, these skills are combined with coloring techniques, more classic cuts, classic color, and up-to-date color techniques. Students not only learn to use the exclusive TIGI products, but also become familiar with other product lines that will be used by their clientele.
As juniors, students learn manicures, pedicures, facials, make-up, advanced hair collections, and more cut and color techniques. Additionally, they learn salon management and computer skills, as well as the BeautyWorks digital imaging system.

However, it is during the senior term that TONI&GUY students really blossom. Here, instructors recognize and develop an individual’s potential, striving to produce highly desirable and employable graduates, invested in the concept of hair fashion. Students develop their interpersonal skills by working with clients from the public in the student clinic.

LICENSURE & DIPLOMA

Upon completion of the program, a successful board exam and subsequent licensing, you will become a licensed cosmetologist. After your completion of 1250 hours (36 weeks), you will receive a diploma.
